2015 brings many exciting changes to CEC, which we will be sharing throughout the coming months. To kick off the year, we're focusing on our organization-wide safety program. This new program offers weekly online safety training and in-depth, job-specific programs for our employees.

The benefits of maintaining a safe work environment are many: protection for employees, financial benefits, a boost in employee morale - and there benefits for you as well.

Research shows that implementing safety programs can offer injury and illness reductions of 20% or more - and a return of $4 to $6 for every $1 invested in a safety program. These savings are direct (doctor, ER visits, rehabilitation programs) and indirect (loss of business, rise in insurance costs, lost productivity, reputation). Indirect costs associated with an injury can be up to four times great than direct costs.

A safe CEC jobsite also means that your employees will be protected while we work.

As we invest in CEC's safety program, we encourage you to take a look at your organization's own safety program. Safety improves quality and decreases injuries - which ultimately reduces business costs.

To get started, visit this OSHA resource. It provides valuable information about what to include and who to involve. For samples of written safety policies, click here.

Here’s to a safe and productive 2015!
