Helping Healthcare Organizations Care for Communities: Meet Mandy Schneiker

May 18, 2020

When it comes to healthcare technology, Mandy Schneiker knows it well. Joining CEC in May 2019 when the company acquired Milwaukee-based Select Sound, she understands the ins and outs of mobile communication platforms, fall management solutions, nurse call systems, RTLS, and more – and how they can be used to improve staff productivity and the patient experience.

Surrounded by many healthcare providers within her own family and circle of friends, she hears first-hand about the challenges clinicians face in caring for their communities. “I could never do what they do,” says Schneiker. “They’re miracle workers! But, if I can make their jobs even the smallest bit easier, that gives me an incredible sense of purpose.”

Meet CEC Executive Director of Healthcare Sales Mandy Schneiker!

Q: What makes you most excited about working at CEC? What do you enjoy most?
A: I love having the ability to collaborate with people of varying skill sets and backgrounds, both internally and with customers. I am also really proud of the fact that, throughout our current situation, I can tout CEC as an organization that remains focused on taking care of its employees and customers as its highest priority. There aren’t a lot of companies that can say that with confidence today.

Q: Is there a CEC initiative you’ve been involved with that you’re especially proud of?
A: I’ve recently become part of an internal team charged with evaluating how CEC can support telehealth. I love the forward-thinking nature of working to pinpoint technologies that will help our customers and make us a key player in the “new normal” we will be living in as a result of this pandemic.

Q: How does a typical day play out for you at CEC? What are you responsible for?
A: My typical day is spent assisting my team with customer meetings – particularly strategic selling opportunities and triaging challenges that arise. My chief goal is to displace any barriers that exist for my team or our customers.

Q: What’s a fun/interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?
A: I love scary movies and am always looking for someone who will watch them with me. I watch a scary movie every single night during the month of October!

Q: How do you spend your free time?
A: I love traveling with my family (husband Jim; daughter Hailey, 11; son Brady, 8). I’ve been to 26 countries so far, and I have so many more on my list. I can’t wait to resume checking them off! I also love playing, watching, and coaching volleyball. I played throughout high school and college, and I still play several times a week. Our daughter has a passion for it, and I love playing with her and watching her grow into an athlete.

Q: If you could do one other job at CEC for a day, what would it be?
A: CFO! I love math, numbers, and analytics. I was a Mathlete in high school. I couldn’t do it long term, though, because I would miss the level of customer interaction I have in my current role.
