Customer Needs
After a state walkthrough, Sioux Center Community Hospital & Health Center Avera decided to implement a security system that would prevent infant abduction and keep patients protected. They had their selection down to two options and needed help making a decision.
Solution
CEC worked with Sioux Center Community Hospital & Health Center Avera on integrating an infant security solution.
With these healthcare communications systems in place, the hospital now has:
- An infant security system that keeps newborns safe in the OB area.
- Reporting functions that sync with the nurse call system to let staff members know which patients require the most assistance, how quickly lights are being answered , etc.
During installation, we ran into frequency issues because we’re in an older building. CEC’s work was being impacted by something else in the building. They went out of the way to locate the source of the problem and find an answer so we could make a smooth transition. No matter whose fault it was, or what was causing it, CEC wanted to figure it out.
