The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, an AAA four diamond awarding winning hotel is known for its high service standards and lodging. The Hotel serves as a teaching facility focused on preparing the finest professionals to lead the global hospitality industry.
Customer Needs
The time had come to upgrade the A/V solutions from the original construction of the Executive Technology Amphitheater. Beyond wanting a new high definition system, the team at Kirkwood was hoping to integrate pieces of their current system within the upgrades. They needed a partner that could expand their capabilities, allowing them to easily do more in their current classroom space.
Solution
Impressed by CEC’s attention to detail and previous work with the college, Kirkwood decided to partner with CEC to redesign and repurpose this space. The integration of new cameras, reconfiguration of current systems, a video distribution upgrade and system training allowed Kirkwood to:
- Give video access to students in an online learning center.
- Allow presenters more flexibility with an easy platform to showcase demonstrations.
- Position the AV systems and technicians behind the scenes rather than in the forefront of the classroom.
- Enhance student learning and engagement allowing them to learn the material more quickly.
- Create efficiencies in the training and the function of the space that were not available previously.
- Expand the space beyond a classroom to a studio during the summer months and rentable space by the public.
