All Saints Catholic Church
CORPORATE
Established in Cedar Rapids, IA in 1947, All Saints Catholic Church is comprised of almost 3,000 parishioners today. It focuses on supporting Catholic education, evangelical outreach, and renewal of hearts and minds through the preaching of the Gospel and sacramental life. An $8.3 million construction project for All Saints, including partial renovation of the school/church and construction of a narthex, social hall, chapel, parish offices, parking lot, and a walkway between the church and school, was completed in 2009.
SOLUTION
All Saints Catholic Church and CEC worked together with Design Engineers in Cedar Rapids, IA, to come up with options to improve the sound and audio systems within the sanctuary as part of the church’s capital campaign. After working with CEC, All Saints Catholic Church now has:
- Improved sound in the sanctuary space so parishioners of all ages and abilities can clearly hear.
- Sound that extends into the narthex so people using that area can hear what is going on inside the sanctuary. This also improved the seamlessness of the processions that are sometimes part of Mass. Previously, the church was using a portable sound system as part of the procession.
- The ability to record audio and incorporate that capability into a main mixer.
- Elimination of dead spaces throughout the sanctuary, making it easy for parishioners to hear no matter where they’re seated.
